2016 HI-TEC Proceedings E-Book Call for Submissions

Disseminate your best practices for technician education through the HI-TEC Proceedings E-Book!

The HI-TEC Proceedings Committee is now soliciting submissions for an online interactive e-book containing Best Practices for Technician Education from the 2016 conference.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • This call is open to all Concurrent Session and Pre-Conference workshop presenters
  • Submissions will be reviewed and accepted by the HI-TEC Proceedings Committee
  • Submissions will be reviewed for:
    1. Impact - is there evidence of success, supported by date?
    2. Applicability - is the project/material broadly applicable?
    3. Actionability - can the project/material be easily implemented?
  • Not all submissions will be accepted
  • Deadline for submissions is August 28, 2016
  • Notification of accepted submissions will be no later than September 22, 2016

SUBMISSIONS:

To be considered for the 2016 publication, send the following as email attachments to hitecproceedings2016@gmail.com by August 29th:

  1. Presentation Narrative. Using your HI-TEC presentation (PowerPoint slides) as a guide, submit a narrative that tells the story of your presentation in a Word doc (between 500 and 1,000 words). Your narrative may contain links, pictures, diagrams, or charts. Please include the name and email of each presenter.
  2. Power Point Presentation. Please submit your PowerPoint presentation as a PDF document.

If accepted, you will have an opportunity to add interactive elements to your entry.

2015 E-BOOK

This e-book contains descriptive narratives, videos, handouts and related resources from a subset of workshops and presentations that represent the best practices in technician education as reported by participants attending the 2015 High Impact Technology Exchange Conference (HI-TEC) held July 27-30, 2015.

  1. Interactive PDF. The interactive PDF version is contained in a zip file for downloading. The zip file includes all of the files needed for interactivity and should be opened with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

  2.      View and download the PDF version.

  3. iBook. The iBook version is viewable on an iPad or a later model Mac computer with the iBook's app installed.
